Vision & Mission

It is our vision to provide a well rounded, science-oriented education to the gifted students of the Philippine Science High School Community, ensuring social-emotional development of the children, preventing development of mental health challenges, and addressing social-emotional problems that currently exist.

We will do this by providing supplemental classes on life-skills training for children facilitated by Living Free Foundation; supporting parents and faculty in understanding and communicating with the children using evidence-based strategies as guided by alumni specialists; by supporting staff training and wellbeing with the cooperation of the Guidance Counseling Unit; by implementing effective mental health consultation to the students and staff with the cooperation fo Empath Corporation ; by facilitating mental health services for parents who need them through the cooperation of the Parent Teacher Association of the school.

It is our ultimate goal that these programs be models for educating and nurturing students nationwide, in both public and private school systems.

These programs are made possible by donor institutions and partner organizations, generous alumni and individuals, with the same love and concern for the wellbeing of our children, the leaders of tomorrow

Enhancing Self-Esteem

10:00 AM
Students who feel good about themselves have the confidence to try new things. They are more likely to try their best. They feel proud of what they can do. Self-esteem helps children cope with mistakes. It helps students try again, even if they fail at first. As a result, self-esteem helps children do better at school, at home, and with friends.

Effective Communication

10:00 AM
Part of the normal process of the youth moving towards independence is developing their own ideas, values and beliefs.  They need to learn how to communicate these to others and be understood, and at the same time, they need to learn how to listen to and understand others.
